I recently bought several skeins of Lion Brand Ferris Wheel to design with. I have since used it for quite a few projects and have received a ton of questions about it. So I decided to review it here on the blog!
To begin with I will say it’s a very soft yarn. In my opinion the colors are really aesthetically pleasing. It’s a pretty yarn! There are 12 different variegated colorways available.
Here are some further details about fiber, weight, length, and etc.
This yarn as stated above is 100% acrylic. I would like to point out that it has a somewhat fuzzy/roving quality to it. This does not bother me personally, but I know it will matter to some of you reading so I wanted to make sure and include that in my review. The recommend hook size for this yarn is a 5.00 mm crochet hook. I used several different hooks while testing this yarn. This is a 4-weight yarn. I would say that it is a thin 4-weight yarn. Again, I don’t mind this at all. Just make sure you keep that in mind when you are picking a pattern/project for this yarn.

I did not have any issues with the yarn splitting on me while working with it. I found it nice to work with. I would use caution and care when frogging anything you have crocheted because Ferris Wheel has that fuzzy/roving quality it can make it want to catch/stick when frogging. I was able to reuse all yarn that was frogged without major issues.
I used Lion Brand Ferris Wheel in the color Cotton Candy to make this head wrap for my daughter! Click on the image below to see the pattern!
