Are you tired of spending your hard earned money on a crochet pattern only to find it poorly written? Is a free pattern or tutorial really better?
This is a new segment where I review a crochet pattern and give my honest opinion! I am doing these reviews secret shopper style! The pattern designer doesn't know!
This month's pattern review is Bag-O-Day Crochet's Wide Neck Bandana Cowl-Midnight Stroll. Please remember that this pattern review is just my own honest opinion! Scroll down to find out if I thought this pattern was a bargain or a bust!
I found this video tutorial extremely easy to follow! It is definitely a beginner friendly project! Crystal does a great job of thoroughly explaining each step. The quality of the video tutorial itself is good! In my opinion this cowl works up fast!
In Crystal's video tutorial she uses one Caron Cake in the color Blackberry Mousse and a 6.00 mm crochet hook to create her finished cowl. Crystal stated that any worsted weight yarn can be used. My daughter requested her cowl to be purple so I used some Red Heart Super Saver that I already had in my stash.
My daughter was very happy with the final result of her new cowl! She chose to not add any fringe. If you are looking for a new cowl to make I definitely recommend this one. I plan on making more to gift this holiday season. Scroll down to check out all of Bag-O-Day Crochet's social media.
What crochet pattern do you want to see me review next? Leave a comment and let me know!
